Shaar: The expansive grassland that spanned the entirety of the Shining South –and continued eastinto the Shining Lands –was home to nomadic human tribes and other races that roamed across the lands, including centaurs and wemics.Halruaan wizards managed to transport their home nation to the world of Abeir for a time to avoid the disaster of the Spellplague, returning to Toril during the Second Sundering over a century later. The nation was divided into sections by three rivers that met at Lake Halruaa in the center, the northern shore of which held the capital city of Halarahh. Among her array of twisted powers is the ability to see everything that lies or happens in the dark. Counterpart to her twin Selûne, she presides over caverns, darkness, dungeons, forgetfulness, loss, night, secrets, and the Underdark. Halruaa: The citizens of this wealthy and predominantly insular magocracy were descended from survivors that fled the warring empire of Netheril shortly before its collapse. Shar, the Mistress of the Night, is the goddess of darkness, and the caverns of Faerun, as well as a neutral evil greater deity.Following the formation of the Underchasm during the disastrous Spellplague, a portion of the Great Rift remained as the East Rift, while the rest was swallowed up by the great scar on Faerûn. Great Rift: Within the southern stretch the Shaar lay this great, steep-sided canyon that served as the ancient home of the gold dwarves, along with two of their great settlements: the surface city of Eartheart in the south, and Underhome in the east. The region came to be known as the "Scarred South" during the 15 th century DR, following the massive destruction caused by the events of the Spellplague. There is little direct relationship to the Shimring Quest, although the Second Task Completion (restoring life to Vhaeraun) is taken into account. While the Shining South earned a reputation among the Heartlands of the north as the land where fantastical myths of the Realms came to manifest, in truth the people of the South lived their lives just the same as many others. Here are details of Underdark cities that can be set in Faerun or anywhere else. Gond’s most revered temple is based here (in Sundrah), as is the world famous museum, the High Holy Crafthouse of Inspiration, based in the town of Sambar.Īs the third part of the Shimring Quest, through the power of the Heart of the Dracolich, the Primordial Temple of Grneekle has now been cojoined with Lantan in Faerun. Inhabitants are largely human and gnome, and worship the God of Item Creation, Gond. Lantan is a group of islands near to the Trackless Sea. Silverymoon’s figurehead is Lady Alustriel, daughter of Mystra, although the day to day governance of the city is administered by the powerful mage, Taern Hornblade. There are still TONS of information for all the listed deities. We have completed the faerunian deities and are currently working on the Greyhawk deities (along with some major races deities). It is the foremost centre of learning and culture in the North, second only to Waterdeep, Faerun’s most populous city about 500 miles to the South West of Silverymoon. Note: We are currently adding custom images for every deity - but this will take time. Silverymoon is based in the Sword Coast Lands of the North in the region known as The Silver Marches. Most of the central characters have been based in and around Silverymoon since their previous expedition (10 years ago) to the Demonweb Pits to thwart the Council of Demons engineered by Gra’azt and Malconthet and presided over by Lolth. Events in this campaign will take place mainly in The North and on the Island of Lantan to the South in the year 1384.

Faerun is the main continent on the world of Toril (of the Forgotten Realms).
